The first derby game in the League. With many people expecting Griffins to win this game, Hornets are nowhere far behind from their derby rivals. Coach Hafidz knows that Griffins must win this game as they are stuck at the bottom of the League. But Hornets have been playing interesting Floorball recently and they knew that they have a chance to pull this through as well.

1st period:

The match starts off after
Suresh and Satyan, the match referees for the day have blown the whistle. The first period was rather tight as the result was still goalless despite many close-ranged efforts. However, Griffins’ keeper, Azmill Hadzim (no.1) and Hornets’ keeper, Huzairyazlan (no.1) did a tremendous job keeping their net empty during the first period.

But, on the final minute of the period, Noralea (no.22) of
Hornets was given a 2-min bench penalty for incorrect hit (code 201).

*KLIUC Hornets 0-0 KLIUC Griffin*

2nd period:

Griffins have an advantage over the Hornets at the start of the 2nd period because
Noralea’s 2-min penalty was brought to the 2nd period after she has only served 30 seconds of penalty before the end of first period. 5-man Hornets played defensively at the start of the period.

At the 4th minute,
Muhammad Afiq (no.77) of Griffins was given a 2-min bench penalty for intentionally lifting his stick high (code 203). Griffins were down to 5-man due to the incident. A minute later, Hafidz (no.55) was also given a 2-min bench penalty for lifting his stick high (code 203). More woes have been added to Griffins as Mohd. Faiz (no.88) accidentally headed the ball (code 214) and he was given a 2-min bench penalty. But lucky enough for Griffins as Muhammad Afiq managed to finish serving his penalty before Faiz was handed the penalty. Griffins played only with 4-man as two of their players were serving the penalty.

However, spectators have to wait till the 17th minute to see the first goal of the match after Mohd. Faiz gave a cheeky pass to Hafidz and he went on to score his first goal of the season and
Griffins’ first goal of the game.

But
Hornets fought back before the end of the 2nd period as Zulfadli (no.18) scored his third goal of the season and Hornets’ equalizer of the game, thanks to an amazing pass by teammate, Zahir Fikri (no.7).

*KLIUC Hornets 1-1 KLIUC Griffins*

3rd period:

Both sides have been playing very well during the first and second period, but it was Griffins who put themselves back into the lead after
Afiq (no.66) made a pass to Muhammad Afiq and he scored Griffins’ 2nd goal of the game.

At the 12th minute, Muhammad Afiq then took advantage over a great pass by Taqiuddin (no.99) and he scored his 2nd of the game and
Griffins’ 3rd. What a tremendous display !

A minute later,
Taqiuddin then put his name on the scoresheet as he also scored a goal after another great pass by Afiq. It was not long till the 5th goal after Muhammad Afiq managed to make a great solo run and put the ball into the back of the net at the 14th minute. Hornets’ keeper has no chance to save it.

The match ended
KLIUC Hornets 1-5 KLIUC Griffins; Griffins’ first win of the season.

Everyone has been talking about it, and it is one of the biggest games of the League. Gang Bintang and Subang Rascals will be playing against each other and this match has drawn a huge crowd of spectators. Gang Bintang and Subang Rascals have been doing rather well in the League as both sides were on a goal-scoring spree. This top of the table clash proves to be very important for both teams as a win over the other will put them at the forefront of the league table. Both sides have an interesting lineup of players for this game and they were both equipped with many star players.

1st period:

The match started off as match referees of the game,
Danush and Alvin have blown the whistle. But it was Gang Bintang who gave the visitors a huge shocker as Filip (no.82) scored the fastest-goal ever recorded in the League’s history after just 5 seconds into the period. What a tremendous start to this amazing match !

Gang Bintang and
Subang Rascals have been playing fairly in the first period as there were few fouls from both sides.

But
Rascals finally found the equalizer at the 16th minute after Juha N. (no.11) managed to take a shot and the ball went through Arizal’s legs and caught Illyaz, the keeper of Gang Bintang, off guard and the ball went into the back of the net; a great pass from Dennis (no.7) as well.

*Gang Bintang 1-1 Subang Rascals*

2nd period:

Spectators have been seeing an exciting first period and will be expecting even more fast-paced Floorball displays by both teams. And it was worth the wait as
Gang Bintang’s players played several simple combinations of passes and Dahlia (no.17) scored her first goal of the season and Gang Bintang’s 2nd of the game after a great pass by Anwar (no.36).

But at the 14th minute,
Juha (no.69) made a through pass to allow Sasi (no.81) to score Rascals’ equalizer and they leveled the scoreline again. More disasters have struck Gang Bintang as they were handed a penalty after one of Gang Bintang’s players allegedly stepped into their own keeper’s area. Sasi took the penalty calmly and confidently at the 15th minute and he put the ball back into the net with a textbook finish; his 2nd of the game.

However,
Gang Bintang managed to draw the score level as Lada (no.3) scored his first goal of the game after a great pass by Khalid (no.26). What a great display by both sides !

Unfortunately,
Santeri (no.15) of Rascals was given a 2-min bench penalty after he allegedly repeated his offence (code 217) of roughing. The penalty then gave Gang Bintang a chance to switch to their power-play and it paid off as Filip scored his 2nd goal and put Gang Bintang back into the lead.

*Gang Bintang 4-3 Subang Rascals*

3rd period:

The final period of the game and
Gang Bintang are a period away to equal the points in the league table. But Rascals have switched their style of play as a hope to equalize or even an attempt to win the game.

However,
Lionel (no.9) was then handed a 2-min bench penalty after he also allegedly repeated his offence (code 217). Gang Bintang then switched to a much more defensive play due to the penalty. But there was a breakthrough as Lionel managed to return after serving the penalty and made a vital pass to Kenny (no.44) and he did not disappoint his team by giving Gang Bintang a 2-goal cushion in the scoreline.

At the 11th minute,
Suresh (no.4) was then given a 2-min bench penalty after he also repeated his offence (code 217) and Gang Bintang then went on to another power-play.

Nevertheless, it was during a clash between Arizal and some
Rascals’ players that caused some speculations. Arizal then claimed that Rascals’ players were committing too many incorrect hits but on the other hand, it was Arizal who was given the 2-min bench penalty for unsportsmanlike behavior (code 101).

Gang Bintang was then down to 5-man once again and
Rascals have went into power-play as an attempt to pull the score level. But Illyaz (no.1) managed to stop some vital shots by Rascals’ players and he was on the peak of his form.

Then
Gang Bintang went into another breakthrough as Arizal (no.80) scored Gang Bintang’s 6th goal right after he returned from serving his penalty; another tremendous pass by Khalid.

And at the 17th minute, Juha of
Rascals was given a 2-min bench penalty after he lifted his stick high (code 206) and was spotted by the referees. Spectators then get to see another round of tremendous Gang Bintang’s power-play and it paid off yet again as Lionel scored his first goal of the season following a great pass by Sjaiful (no.2). Gang Bintang’s power-play has been very effective in the game.

The final whistle was blown and
Gang Bintang overcame their rivals and handed them their first defeat of the season. Gang Bintang took over the lead in the league table due to goal differences.

The match ended Gang Bintang 7-3
Subang Rascals.

Salibandy!Co. have yet to win a single game and were determined to claim their first win of the season in this game. Griffins on the other hand, would like to repeat their triumph over Salibandy!Co. few months back during the pre-season friendly. Coach Hafidz believed his team can do it again this time and both sides’ chances of winning were equal.

1st period:

The match started off as referees, Sjaiful and Arizal, have blown the whistle. These two sides were equally good as each other and will not take this game lightly. After several tight actions, the score was still level halfway through the period; credits also to both keepers for putting on several superb displays.

However, Andrian (no.77) of Salibandy!Co. was given a 2-min bench penalty after he incorrectly hit (code 201) on his opponent’s stick. Spectators have to wait till the 15th minute for the first goal and this time it was Griffins who broke the deadlock through Abdul Malik (no.66) following a great pass by Muhammad Faiz (no.6).

But 2 minutes later, Alvin L. (no.28) then gave the home team the equalizer after a great solo effort.

*Salibandy!Co. 1-1 KLIUC Griffin*

2nd period:

Both teams have made their talks during the match intermission and went into the 2nd period to try out their newly-set tactics. But it was Griffins who made the breakthrough once again at the 5th minute after Taqiuddin (no.99) made a vital pass to Afiq (no.66) and he scored from the rebound though Danush (no.1) made an important save at the first shot but his second save was not good enough to stop the rebound as the ball flew past him and went into the back of the net.

3 minutes later, Griffins then suffered a huge blow as Syed (no.30) was given a 2-min penalty for incorrect hit (code 201). Salibandy!Co. then took the advantage over the 5-man Griffins and they equalized the scoreline through Gerard (no.8).

*Salibandy!Co. 2-2 KLIUC Griffins*

3rd period:

Both sides were still equal at the 3rd period and wanted to claim the victory. However, Arnan (no.49) of Salibandy!Co. was given a 2-min bench penalty after he committed an offence of incorrect hit (code 201). More names were added into the penalty list as Kesavan (no.24) of Griffins was also given a 2-min bench penalty after he became the 6th man on court and served the penalty due to additional players on the court (code 216).

Salibandy!Co. then took an advantage over the 5-man Griffins once again and Alvin L. then gave his team a one-goal lead after a nice pass from Kel Sern (no.32).

But it was at the 16th minute that the headline of the day was made. After a foul was committed in the game, both sides’ players then went into a fight and caused the time of the match to stop. Even more complications have added, as Amir (no.54) then went into the court from the players’ bench and got himself involved in the fight. Andrian was also involved in the incident as he repeatedly protested on the ref’s decision.

This leaves referee Sjaiful no choice but to send both players to the bench penalty with Amir serving a 5-min penalty for roughing (code 504) and Andrian for protesting (code 219). Both sides were down to 5-man.

More woes have been added to Salibandy!Co. as Daniel Phang (no.77) was then given a 2-min bench penalty for incorrect hit (code 201). However, Hafidz of Griffins was also given a 2-min bench penalty a minute later for roughing (code 504).

The tough match has ended finally as Salibandy!Co. claimed their first win of the League and they are now 3 pts behind the league leaders.

Final score: Salibandy!Co. 3-2 KLIUC Griffin
