Selangor Floorball League 2011/2012 Matchweek 8 Preview

It has been a surprising season as teams in the bottom half of the table are producing surprising results and amazing comebacks in the previous fixture. There's no surprise by the top seeds, Subang Rascals and Gang Bintang as they are once again neck-in-neck in the title race while KLIUC Griffin and Salibandy!Co. are closely following behind at the end of Matchweek 7.

Match 1: Bangi Rusty Blade v. Subang Rascals (12pm-2pm)

One might wonder the poor start of Bangi Rusty Blade as they were predicted to be title contenders this season. They are less organized defensively and offensively compared to the previous season. Critics believed that the missing of Jun Wooi may be one of the factors behind Bangi Rusty Blade's poor performance as the defender was their main anchorman last season. Player/coach Mohd. Hafidz should rally his team if they want to grab a surprising win over Subang Rascals this weekend and escape the relegation zone comfortably.

Subang Rascals, as always, lethal on all-fronts and with current leading scorer, Kamal Affendy on a goalscoring hot streak. He is definitely the man-to-watch in this game. However, there's more to Subang Rascals besides Kamal Affendy. The team has scored more goals than any other teams in the league and I believe they are aiming to break their goalscoring record. My prediction of Subang Rascals at the end of the season will be at least 300 goals, judged based on their goalscoring statistics at the moment. However, Subang Rascals should not underestimate Bangi Rusty Blade in this game.

Players to watch (Bangi Rusty Blade) : Amir Zamri, Fazrullah Jaini, Mohd. Hafidz, Malik Rahim
Players to watch (Subang Rascals) : Kamal Affendy, Dennis Thulin, Sjaiful Anuar, Harri.

Predictions: Another stroll in the park for Subang Rascals.

Match 2: KLIUC Griffin v. KLIUC Hornets (2pm-4pm) *Match of the week*

I would have picked Bangi Rusty Blade v. Subang Rascals as the match of the week, but the KLIUC derby is highly anticipated in my books.

KLIUC Griffin has surprised everyone this season by being one of the top 4 in the league at the moment. As I was discussing with Mohd. Hafidz last week, the "rebranding" of KLIUC Griffin may have lifted the spirits of their players. As seen in the match against Gang Bintang, KLIUC Griffin did not give up and surprised the Champions by equalizing the scoreline before bowing out in a 4-8 defeat. The supporters of KLIUC Griffin are one of the factors behind too. I believed their "seventh" man has boosted the morale of the whole team. Nonetheless, they should not underestimate KLIUC Hornets as it is on papers that KLIUC Hornets may pull off with a surprise win.

KLIUC Hornets, the only strength that is consistent in every week is none other than their star goalkeeper, Azmill Hadzim. He has pulled off many big saves this season and has been touted as the future of Malaysian goalkeeper. Hornets' defence has been focused throughout the game, but on statistics, they concede most in the final period which always result in a defeat for them. This is one area they should focus on improving. And they should probably change their attacking style as it has been ineffective when the chance is provided for them.

Players to watch (KLIUC Griffin) : Amirul, Adi, Ahmad Naufal, Muhammad, Iwan
Players to watch (KLIUC Hornets) : Azmill Hadzim, Muizzudin, Taqiuddin, Azim

Prediction: A hard one to call on this match. This is probably a very tight match which could end up in a draw. But somehow I believe KLIUC Hornets may pull off a surprise win.

Match 3: Gang Bintang v. GMI Black Wings (4pm-6pm)

The reigning champions have been playing rather differently compared to last season. One might say the full potential of the team has not been reached as they are always hanging on a thread throughout the match. Moreover, everyone has seen Gang Bintang play under pressure especially when they are trailing as they have won from a comeback in most of the games this season. Last week, a spark of brilliance by one of the lethal offensive pairs in the league, Khalid and Jethro as both have been inspiring in turning a potentially horrific match into a sweet victory. They need to organize their defence and offence if they were to beat GMI Black Wings comfortably.

GMI Black Wings may be new to the sport, but their passion can be seen by everyone. Even though their playing style is kind of messy as expected from a new team, but against Gang Bintang, they need to play more organized and avoid conceding goals from defensive errors as most of the goals they concede last week were mostly from poor defending and miscommunication between the goalkeeper and defenders.

Players to watch (Gang Bintang) : Jethro, Khalid, Bob, Gaffur
Players to watch (GMI Black Wings) : Muhammad Asif, Mohd. Hazizi

Predictions: It is expected that Gang Bintang will pull off a comfortable win and add pressure to Subang Rascals quest for the title.

Match 4: GMI White Knights v. Gracebandy!Co. (6pm-8pm)

GMI White Knights has not been playing as well as expected from them as they managed to be held to a 6-6 draw especially when they are dominating Salibandy!Co. for the first two periods last week. GMI White Knights should take the opportunity to take shots instead of trying to walk the ball into the back of the net. Zaiff, the GMI White Knights goalkeeper, has been the only one trying to keep the ball out of the net. The defenders are not doing their part really well. They should start defending well and not fouling the opponents as seen last week.

Gracebandy!Co. pulled off a surprise win over KLIUC Hornets last week, will bring their winning spirit into this game. The player to watch was Roslizawati, one of the female players Gracebandy!Co. has brought in from ladies league champion, Gang Bintang Ladies. Her inspiring performance last week may be one of the winning factors for Gracebandy!Co. in this game, if they are including her in this match. Of course, there's more to Gracebandy!Co. than Ros, players like Sheeda, Philip and Gerard will have to step up their game if they were to overcome the fast players of GMI White Knights.

Players to watch (GMI White Knights) : Zaiff, Amai, Shahir
Players to watch (Gracebandy!Co.) : Ros, Sheeda, Philip, Gerard

Prediction: A tight encounter between the two teams. But I believe GMI White Knights may be able to return home with a winning smile.

Match 5: Salibandy!Co. v. Joker Prodigy FC (8pm-10pm)

Salibandy!Co. suffered a hiccup last week when they faced GMI White Knights. I guess lady luck was on their side as they managed to tie the result. The brilliance of in-form forward, Terence may be the scoring factor for Salibandy!Co. in this match as he is 3rd behind Kamal Affendy and Dennis Thulin in the Scoring Leaderboard. Salibandy!Co. may need to rally their team and not allow their opponents more space to run as this is one of their weakest area when most goals conceded are from free runs.

Joker Prodigy FC suffered a heavy defeat by Mighty Rascals last week and their defence was horrible despite scoring great goals against Subang Rascals. One might wonder if they can hold on to the speedy forwards of Salibandy!Co. The only consistent performer of Joker Prodigy FC is Amir Naqiuddin as he scored most of Joker's goals this season.

Players to watch (Salibandy!Co.) : Terence, Alvin Lee, Kel Sern, Song Sing, Jensen
Players to watch (Joker Prodigy FC) : Amir Naqiuddin, Ery, Fakhrul

Prediction: A comfortable win for Salibandy!Co.

Selangor Floorball League 2011/2012: Matchweek 1 Preview

After 7 months of break, the new season of Selangor Floorball League 2011/2012 begins. Clubs have been preparing during the pre-season through friendlies and tours and the preparation for the League is said to be overwhelming and fruitful for all clubs. With the new installation of the SFL Super Cup and Premier Cup at stake for qualifications, all clubs will surely be challenging not only for the SFL title, but also for a Cup win.

18 December 2011

Match 1: Subang Rascals v. KLIUC Hornets (4pm-6pm)

Last season's runners-up will begin their campaign against KLIUC Hornets, who will be seeking a top 4 finish this season. Rascals have always been a tougher draw for Hornets as the experience of the Rascals squad is plentiful. Hornets will have to rely on their goalkeeper, Azmill Hadzim to keep the scoreline closer to challenge the fast-paced Subang Rascals players.

Subang Rascals will most probably be starting their new signing, Apek Azahari, who signed from Bangi Rusty Blade during the transfer window, and he will be the man who Rascals will be relying on between the two posts after their no.1 goalkeeper, Susanne Olovsson is still injured.

Players to Watch (Subang Rascals): Sjaiful Anuar, Dennis Thulin, Snake, Henrik Nieminen
Players to Watch (KLIUC Hornets): Muizzudin, Taqiuddin, Azmill Hadzim

Prediction: An easy win for Subang Rascals.

Match 2: Joker Prodigy FC v. Gang Bintang (8pm-10pm)

Reigning champions, Gang Bintang will begin their title defending campaign against a new SFL club, Joker Prodigy FC, formed by former players of Bangi Rusty Blade. Gang Bintang has been well-known for their offensive plays and comeback wins last season, is hoping to start off the season in style.

With several influential players like Khalid, Jethro and Rizal, it is without a doubt the Champions will be one of the favourites to winning the title this season.

Joker Prodigy FC, on the other hand, has been rather mysterious in their club's preparation for the League as they only made their debut in pre-season friendly last month against KLIUC Griffin. Led by Ery, it is expected that Joker Prodigy FC might be in for a mid-table finish this season.

Players to Watch (Joker Prodigiy FC): Ery, Naqi
Players to Watch (Gang Bintang): Jethro, Khalid, Rizal, Anwar, Gafur

Prediction: A tough test for Joker Prodigy FC as critics think it will be a comfortable win for the defending Champions.

19 December 2011

Match 3: GMI Black Wings v. KLIUC Griffin

The 3rd match of Matchweek 1 sees newly-established GMI Black Wings face last season's bottom-placed KLIUC Griffin. A classic David-Goliath match as experience plays a big part in this match.

GMI Black Wings is a feeder club of GMI White Knights and it is formed with new players who have never been on a competitive floorball match before. They are looking into making a promising start to the season and finish the season at a respective position.

KLIUC Griffin, on the other hand, will be shrugging off their disappointing campaign last season and looking into improving the squad for the coming season. With 3 new experienced signings in the squad, it is without a doubt that KLIUC Griffin will be challenging for a top-half table finish this season. Media prediction suggests that KLIUC Griffin might have the chance to make it to the Premier Cup. Banking on the leadership of Ahmad Naufal and in-form goalkeeper, Adi Nugraha, we will have to see if KLIUC Griffin has what it takes to dent their competitors' chances in the league.

Players to Watch (GMI Black Wings): Azizul
Players to Watch (KLIUC Griffin): Adi, Naufal, Medi

Prediction: A possible nail-biter but KLIUC Griffin will see off their first win in the league since 2009.

Match 4: Bangi Rusty Blade v. GMI White Knights

The final match of matchweek 1 sees last season's 3rd-placed Bangi Rusty Blade face GMI White Knights. Bangi Rusty Blade is the only club who has been busy in the transfer window with at least 6 signings for the coming season. Losing their influential defender, Jun Wooi, is a major blow to their squad.

New signings like Joo Minn, Kendrick and Andrian will definitely boost the squad as they bid for the title this season to match the likes of Gang Bintang and Subang Rascals. Complacency may be the key issue to some of their disappointments last season, but critics believe this season will be an exciting year for them.

GMI White Knights has wow-ed many spectators and players last season with their commitment and passion for the sport. Despite being the new club last season, they finished remarkably well and have given several teams a hard time in some matches. With the likes of Shahir, Amai, and Zaiff, GMI White Knights will be hoping to start off their campaign by a surprise win.

Players to Watch (Bangi Rusty Blade): Hafidz, Joo Minn, Andrian
Players to Watch (GMI White Knights): Zaiff, Shahir, Amai, Bard

Prediction: A close encounter but Bangi Rusty Blade will see off a win.

Selangor Floorball Ladies' League 2011 Week 2 Preview

After a successful launch of the new Selangor Floorball Ladies' League, we have seen one of the finest and competitive ladies matches in Selangor floorball history. As we enter week 2, one will only anticipate what these teams have in store for us.

FOXY BLIZZARDS VS tyttöbandy!Co (11PM-1PM)

Match 1 of week 2 sees Foxy Blizzards and tyttöbandy!Co trying to battle out and draw a closer margin to league leaders, Gang Bintang. Both teams had a dominant win over their fellow Selangor counterparts in week 1 despite losing to Gang Bintang and Penang respectively.

Foxy Blizzards came close to getting a draw against Gang Bintang in week 1 but were humbled at the final whistle is going all-out for the kill against tyttöbandy!Co. tyttöbandy!Co on the other hand, played stronger and much solid in their 2nd game against Her-ricanes will be hoping to continue their winning run.

Critics will be expecting a close encounter between these two teams, but it was predicted that tyttöbandy!Co may claim the valuable 3 points.

HER-RICANES VS GANG BINTANG (1PM-3PM)

Her-ricanes did not have a successful week 1 encounter as they were overpowered badly by Penang and tyttöbandy!Co. One can only blame their understrength team in terms of numbers though their goalkeeper, Nadiana Najib was rather impressive in the two games. They are hoping to give a good fight to Gang Bintang in their 3rd game.

Gang Bintang, boosted by their championship winning management staffs, is hoping to see out this game with a win. They are hoping to continue the legacy of their men's team who has been the dominant force in Men's league for two seasons. With the players having rich field hockey skills and experience, they are more into possession-play instead of the goal-glutter style of the men's team. The win over Penang and Foxy Blizzards will give an extra confidence for Gang Bintang to extend the lead in the table.

Critics predict it will be a walk in the park for Gang Bintang in this game.

SFL 2010/2011 Match Day 14 Preview 23th April 2011

Match Day 14 will be played on Saturday the 23rd of April 2011 at the Rakan Muda Complex in Puchong. Match Day 14 also marks the closing of Selangor Floorball League 2010/2011.

Sat, 23rd April 2011

Game 1 – KLIUC Griffin vs. Gracebandy!Co.

(12.00pm – 2.00pm)

Referees: Amai & Suresh

Prediction:

Griffins to finally get their first win of the season with a spirited match against a fading Gracebandy!Co.

Game 2- GMI White Knights vs. Subang Rascals

(2.00pm - 4.00pm)

Referees: Phillip & Faz

Prediction:

Subang Rascals to end the season with probably their best match of the season while breaking the 200 goals a season mark, and probably a little too much for the spirited White Knights to handle.

Game 3- Bangi Rusty Blade vs. Salibandy!Co.

(4.00pm - 6.00pm)

Referees: Sjaiful & Arizal

Prediction:

Bangi Rusty Blade to put pressure on Hornets by winning this one and not allowing Hornets an easy path to claim the Third placing. I however feel that Salibandy!Co. will give them a tough fight for the win.

Game 3 – KLIUC Hornets vs. Gang Bintang

(4.00pm – 6.00pm)

Referees: Naufal & Alvin

Prediction:

Gang Bintang to win this but it will not be as simple, looking at the first round match when the game was full of fireworks as Hornets lead the 2011 Champions only to be beaten in the last period. Expect the season to end with brutal display of floorball at its best!

The SFA wishes every team good luck and may fair play triumph! The SFA also would like to remind each and every team that games will start at the time stated and breaks will be limited. This is to facilitate the prize giving ceremony to end the SFA 2010/2011.

SFL 2010/2011 Match Day 10 Replacement Matches 3rd April 2011

Two games will be played on Sunday the 3rd of April 2011 at the Rakan Muda Complex in Puchong.

These two games are replacement matches to facilitate for the KLIUC players who had their exams in Match Day 10.

Sun, 3rd April 2011

Game 1 – Bangi Rusty Blade vs. KLIUC Griffin

(2.00pm – 4.00pm)

Referees: Taqi & Muiz

Bangi Rusty Blade is already involved in two surprise of the season game. One in the game that saw them beating league leaders and defending champions, Gang Bintang. The second was last weekend as they struggle against Gracebandy!Co. The main problem for the Green Army is their inconsistent form and discipline as whole. Recently, they have managed to iron out their discipline problems and focus well but alas their inconsistency could jeopardize their aspirations of staying third in the league.

KLIUC Griffins lost again against Salibandy!Co. and are still looking for a win in the league. If they focus on defending and attack the weakness in the Green Army side they could probably get the surprise win of the season. But like I say, they would have to defend very well first as the Green Army, no matter how bad they seem, have a handful of players who could win games.

Prediction:

Bangi Rusty Blade to win this.

Players to watch (Bangi Rusty Blade): Hafidz, Jun Hui, Faz & John.

Players to watch (KLIUC Griffins): Zuhri, Naufal, Amirul & Adi.

Game 2- KLIUC Hornets vs. GMI White Knights

(4.00pm - 6.00pm)

Referees: Faz & Naufal

KLIUC Hornets could only watch as greatly under strength Rascals who came with only 6 outfield players ran rings around them. Hornets could probably learn from the fact that 5 to 6 goals out of the 14 conceded last week was due to their defence ‘ball-watching’ and allowing Rascals to play the passes into the blind side. And if not for the efforts of Azmill, Hornets could have lost by a bigger margin. Hornets did score 4 and this could be their way to beating the White Knights. Quick breakaways and passes between Azim and Ifat caused problems for Rascals as well. Hornets should play to their strength and attack the White Knights from the starting whistle.

GMI White Knights played with heart and courage but again their defence did not provide the cover for their goalkeeper. A few slip-ups could be costly especially with the likes of Khalid, Lada, Jethro and Rizal around. And that was what the White Knights discovered. The White Knights would have to be more decisive too upfront as they keep playing too many blind passes which resulted in quick counter-attacks against them.

Prediction:

Hornets to win by a big margin.

Players to watch (KLIUC Hornets): Taqiuddin, Azim, Muizuddin, Nura Dyla, Ifat & Azmill.

Players to watch (GMI White Knights): Ridha, Amai, Bard, Shahir & Zaiff.

The SFA wishes every team good luck and may fair play triumph!

SFL 2010/2011 Match Day 11 Preview 26th March 2011

Match Day 11 will be played on Saturday the 26th of March 2011 at the Rakan Muda Complex in Puchong.

Match Day 10 saw Gang Bintang snatching the win against Subang Rascals with a score of 9-5. With this win Gang Bintang looks set to clinch their second title in a row! In the other match, Salibandy!Co. manage to hold a resurgent Gracebandy!Co. with a 9-6 win.

This weekend SFL 2010/2011 sets to continue with many teams eyeing for a better position in the league.

Sat, 26th March 2011

Game 1 – Bangi Rusty Blade vs. Gracebandy!Co.

(2.00pm – 4.00pm)

Referees: Taqi & Sjaiful

Bangi Rusty Blade last outing was a historical win against Gang Bintang, a feat second to none so far in the league. With such high level of discipline shown in the last game, Bangi Rusty Blade looks much better compared to earlier games. The only challenge for the Green Army is, if they can keep up the same kind of play and challenge Subang Rascals for the second spot. They have the quality in their pool of players but will they be able to play consistently week in week out with that same tenacity, discipline and teamwork?

Gracebandy!Co. started lost and unorganised against Salibandy!Co. but finish strongly and were unlucky not to get a win. With Gerard leading the team from the bench, Gracebandy!Co. looks a better outfit. Perhaps, all Gracebandy!Co. really need is a coach to solve the team’s problems. Gracebandy!Co. is never a bad team, it has the promises of a young and enthusiastic team with big-hearted players. Gracebandy!Co. certainly need to sort out their defence and Anton and Joo Min needs to spearhead their attack with more potency as these two quick pace forwards are definitely a delight to watch when they attack as a pair!

Prediction:

Bangi Rusty Blade to continue their winning streak.

Players to watch (Bangi Rusty Blade): Hafidz, Jun Hui, Faz & John.

Players to watch (Gracebandy!Co.): Philip, Gerard, Anton & Joo Min.

Game 2- KLIUC Hornets vs. Subang Rascals

(4.00pm - 6.00pm)

Referees: Jethro & Gerard

KLIUC Hornets will go into this game without inspirational skipper Muiz who is away this weekend. The onus will definitely be on their player-manager, Taqi, to lead the team against an opposition looking set to get back into winning ways. Hornets would have to sit back and defend as a team and counter Rascals quickly before they can organize. Hornets have shown great resilience when they face tougher oppositions therefore Subang Rascals will not get the win easy.

Subang Rascals would like to put last week’s game at the back of their head and focus on maintaining as runner-up in the league and with the Green Army closing in, Rascals cannot afford to slip. Not much to be said here, just expect Rascals to go out on full cylinders firing away at the Hornets as they are definitely hungry for goals after being tamed by Gang Bintang. Their only obstacle would definitely be the Hornets goalkeeper, Azmill, who have been in excellent form the whole season.

Prediction:

Subang Rascals to win by a big margin.

Players to watch (KLIUC Hornets): Taqiuddin, Azim, Muizuddin, Nura Dyla, Paez & Azmill.

Players to watch (Subang Rascals): Dennis, Gan, Calle, Carlos, Henrik, Sjaiful & Harry.

Game 3 – Gang Bintang vs. GMI White Knights

(6.00pm – 8.00pm)

Referees: Arizal & Naufal

Gang Bintang is facing a totally different team from last weekend’s outing. Their opponents this week are young, speedy, hardworking and never gives up. Gang Bintang should not have a problem overcoming their opponents this weekend but they should always be on their toes, as many teams would love to get a scalp of the defending champions. Gang Bintang’s strength is their attack and its best if they just keep attacking since its often said that attack is the best form of defence, so much so as their defence has been a suspect this season.

GMI White Knights played extremely well against Gracebandy!Co. in their last outing. They definitely proved me wrong and showed that they are not giving up. This revitalized team played quick attacking floorball, which probably surprised their last opponents. Against Gang Bintang though, White Knights would have to defend strongly against the likes of Khalid, Lada, Rizal and Jethro who will definitely punish them if given the opportunity. White Knights should respect their opponents but should not be afraid to attack them when the opportunity arises. Like I said earlier, Gang Bintang defence has been woeful at times, so probably they would want to exploit that part of the defending champions.

Prediction:

Gang Bintang to win this game comfortably.

Players to watch (Gang Bintang): Lada, Anuar, Jethro, Gafur, Rizal & Ilyaz.

Players to watch (GMI White Knights): Ridha, Amai, Bard, Shahir & Zaiff.

Game 4 – KLIUC Griffins vs. Salibandy!Co.

(8.00 pm – 10.00 pm)

Referees: Song Sing & Hafidz

KLIUC Griffins has steadily improved too but is still looking for their first win. Scoring is not a problem compared to their defence. They have a very good goalkeeper in goal, a steady defence so one do wonder how do they actually concede so much at times. Key players Naufal and Amirul would have to step up their game big time in these last few matches as Griffins look for their maiden win in the league. Naufal must not be afraid to move up and join the attack. Amirul on the other hand, should shoot more as he always gets into good positions but often chooses to pass instead. As a team, Griffins are united, and they should use that to defend and attack as a team.

Salibandy!Co. manage to run away with a win against Gracebandy!Co. but should be worried as they allowed Gracebandy!Co. back into the game and put them in unnecessary pressure. Salibandy!Co. is a very good team but do concede unnecessary goals at times thus putting themselves in unfavourable position and at times costing the win. Alvin, Terence and Daniel have to play a bigger part in organizing the team especially in their defence. Against Griffins, Salibandy!Co. would face a challenge as the Griffins has nothing to lose and would fancy a win against anyone.

Prediction:

Salibandy!Co. to put Griffins away comfortably.

Players to watch (KLIUC Griffins): Zuhri, Naufal, Amirul & Adi.

Players to watch (Salibandy!Co.) : Alvin Lee Jin Aun, Terence, Ravi & Daniel Phang

The SFA wishes every team good luck and may fair play triumph!

SFL 2010/2011 Match Day 10 Preview 19th March 2011

Match Day 10 will be played on Saturday the 19th of March at the Rakan Muda Complex in Puchong.

There will only be two games played this weekend as KLIUC Hornets (who are supposedly to be playing against GMI White Knights) and KLIUC Griffins (who are supposedly to be playing against Bangi Rusty Blade) are in the midst of their exams. These two games will be played on 3rd April 2011. The SFA wishes all players sitting for the exams best of luck!

Back to the league, despite the fact that only two games will be played this weekend, it still promises to be a mouth-watering weekend in the SFL 2010/2011 as the first game will see a derby match followed by a match which could, I reiterate, which could decide the championship this season.

Sat, 19th March 2011

Game 1 – Gracebandy!Co. vs. Salibandy!Co.

(6.00pm – 8.00pm)

Referees: Arizal & Sjaiful

Gracebandy!Co. were peaking at the end of Round 1 in the league but somehow seem to be losing the momentum (and players). The team looks unorganised and seems to be lacking self-belief. Losing twice in a row against the Hornets and White Knights is definitely a sign that something need to be done fast and they could fancy their chances in this derby to pick up their game after upsetting Salibandy!Co. in Round 1.

Salibandy!Co. lost narrowly against the Hornets in their last game. Against their fellow rivals too, they would not want to lose again. Salibandy!Co. is a team full of promises and individual flair just lacking that teamwork that unites a team together. They really need their senior players to guide them together and ensure that the team start playing together especially defensively as its quite a horror show at times, despite them having a really reliable goalkeeper. Their players have the technical ability to shoot, and I recommend they just do that and push forward more to suffocate their opponents.

Prediction:

Salibandy!Co. get their revenge in this derby.

Players to watch (Gracebandy!Co.): Philip, Gerard, Anton & Joo Min.

Players to watch (Salibandy!Co.) : Alvin Lee Jin Aun, Ravi & Daniel Phang

Match of the Week!

Game 2- Subang Rascals vs. Gang Bintang

(8.00pm - 10.00pm)

Referees: Alvin & Muiz

Subang Rascals has been pretty quiet coming into this game. No idea which of its three goalkeepers will turn up and definitely no one has any idea how many of their players will turn up. Rascals has definitely surprise some teams by turning up with 8 players and still end up scoring freely against their opponents. However against Bintang, they would need to be more prepared especially if the Singapore contingent is in town. I guess player-coach Dennis Thulin has something up his sleeve and we could see a tactical approach employed by the Rascals in this game.

Gang Bintang finally lost against the Green Army and definitely a historic result in the history books of the SFA. Despite the loss, the Bintang players still look cheerful and in fact congratulated their opponents for stepping up against them. Against Rascals, Bintang faces probably the fiercest rivalry. Rumours is that the Singapore contingent will check into Puchong and this could just revitalize a weary looking Bintang team. There is no way Bintang will lie down and allow Rascals to win this game and losing could have a major repercussion for them. Knowing all this, Bintang will be on fire and ready to bring the mighty Rascals down again.

Prediction:

Gang Bintang to pick up the pieces and win valuable championship points.

Players to watch (Subang Rascals): Dennis, Gan, Calle, Carlos, Henrik, Sjaiful & Harry.

Players to watch (Gang Bintang): Lada, Anuar, Jethro, Gafur, Rizal & Ilyaz.

The SFA welcomes all floorballers and supporters to this weekend’s game to witness some top notch floorball!
